beetroot is highly nutritious and packed with essential vitamins and minerals
beetroot is rich in folate (vitamin b9 and folacin), a vitamin that is important in the red blood cell formation and for healthy call growth + function. All B vitamins help the body convert carbs into fuel which is used by the body for energy.
beetroot increases exercise performance
beetroot is rich in potassium (aids in lowering blood pressure), iron (necessary for the transportation of oxygen in red blood cells) and vitamin c (an antioxidant vital for immune function and skin health)
Ingredients:
ice cubes
frozen beetroot (cooked) (1/2 cup)
plain yoghurt (1/2 cup)
milk (1 cup)
blueberries (2 tablespoons)
Optional - honey if you prefer to have it sweet.
